On 03/07/2014, at approximately 8:08 a.m., the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office  received a 911 call about a two-vehicle injury accident on FF Road, north of Virgil.  Greenwood County Deputies and Greenwood County EMS responded.  Upon arriving in the 2800 block of FF Road, deputies found that two vehicles had collided at the top of a hill crest.  A 2013 Ford F-250 truck, driven by Benjamin Harrell (49) of Eureka, was northbound on FF Road when it struck a 2006 Jeep Commander, driven by Douglass McGathy (25) of Eureka.  Dustin Harber (26) and Sean Claytor (21), both of Eureka, were passengers in the Jeep.  McGathy and Harber refused medical treatment at the scene.  Harrell and Claytor were transported to the Greenwood County Hospital for evaluation.  Harrell was treated at the hospital and release later that morning.  Claytor was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for possible internal injuries.  The accident is still under investigation by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office.
